Taking the High School Experience to the Next Level
Torrey Pines is an elite high school in the California, as represented by achievements in athletic, academic, visual and performing arts and other enrichment programming that give students the opportunity to try new things and explore and develop interests outside of the classroom. Without TPHSF it won’t be that, because the school budget does not provide the funding to go from good to great.
With these programs and an enriching immersive social and emotional experience students grow and achieve in exceptional ways.

Classroom & Student Enrichment
Donations to the Classroom & Student Enrichment go directly to enhancing the student experience through education and student connectedness programs (and not to sports and clubs). From campus beautification, to wireless spectrometers for the science department, to a baby grand piano, all the way through to the diploma covers on graduation day, Classroom & Student Enrichment exists to benefit ALL students and plays a key role in bridging the gap to greatness.
Beyond the classroom: Extracurricular Programs
Support for Extracurricular Programs is separate from Classroom & Student Enrichment, and is facilitated by TPHSF to cover activities that provide students the opportunity for enrichment, leadership, skill enhancement, team building, and achievement beyond traditional in-school curriculum. Support allows for an exceptional experience as the foundation helps these programs beyond what the government budget supplies.

VOLUNTEER
The responsibility of the foundation is to be the central facilitator for funding and programs to enhance the student experience. We do not have a collasal staff to carry out and implement programs and events. Whether your time is limited or boundless your skills specialized or general: we, but more importantly the students, need your help.
Why You Should Become a Foundation Supporter
We are not raising kids, we are raising adults. So what does that take? It takes a strong generous community, where expectations are high, and where they not only feel supported but are supported with the tools and experiences that create a world class environment–that gives them the chance to be great adults. Where teachers have resources for an immersive and enriching learning environment, where a few guitars are not shared but are in abundance, where costumes and uniforms are crisp and confident, where coaches and instructors are not unreliably volunteering but are experienced and dedicated.
There are no more formative years than those in high school. It’s where our children find themselves, where they start to see who they might become, and where…finally…they start demanding more of themselves. And with that, they become employees, business owners and citizen contributors to San Diego’s future.
