The Torrey Pines High School Foundation (TPHSF) is the central facilitator for fundraising and distribution of grants that provide support for the programs that create an exceptional high school experience for students.

It is the responsibility of the Executive Director, overseen by an independent Board of Directors made up of volunteer community members from diverse professional and social backgrounds, to ensure that the Torrey Pines High School Foundation works towards making an exceptional experience so that every student can reach their potential.

A History of Transparency

The Torrey Pines High School Foundation (TPHSF) continues to achieve the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar (now Candid).

Known as “the search engine for nonprofit information,” GuideStar gathers and disseminates data about every IRS-registered nonprofit organization. It provides information about each nonprofit’s mission, legitimacy, impact, reputation, finances, programs, transparency, governance and more so the public can make informed decisions about support.

Earning GuideStar’s Platinum Seal means Torrey Pines High School Foundation “has demonstrated a commitment to transparency” by reporting in quantitative terms our progress as it relates to our mission.

“Nearly $2M  is raised annually from the community, and the vast majority of that money goes to science labs, art departments, student events, environmental improvements and other programs (including extracurricular ones) for student benefit.”

– David Loseke, Past President, TPHSF
