Hello! I'm Sean Floyd and I teach Spanish here at Torrey Pines High School. My wife, Samantha, and I, who are both native to San Diego, have three beautiful, rambunctious children who fill our lives with joy and non-stop energy! When I'm not teaching, you can find me in the water out in the surf or spending time with my lovely family. As a teenager, I had the opportunity to live in Venezuela for a period of time. Later in life, my wife and I moved to China, where we both worked and lived in the fast-paced, bustling city of Beijing. Our oldest son, Sawyer, was even born out there! Once we had our baby, we decided that we wanted to raise our family near our relatives, so we moved back to San Diego, at which point I also decided to become a teacher. I began teaching in Poway and then soon found my way back to my roots here at SDUHSD, where I too was once a fledgling academic. At each site where I have taught here in our district, I've grown to love where I've landed, including here at Torrey Pines, where I am learning just how right everyone was when they told me that I was landing in a remarkably united, happy, and supportive community. Thank you to all who have already made me feel so welcome! I look forward to getting to know many more of you soon! Click Here to Access Sean's Spotlight Page
